Answer: If you do not have access to a set of calipers the simplest way to get an accurate measurement is to use an adjustable wrench. An adjustable wrench has jaws that move in and out by turning a screw with your thumb. Adjust the wrench until the jaws are snug against both sides of the round tube and then lay a tape measure or ruler across the jaws to get the diameter of the tubing. All of the binnacle mount accessories such as the cockpit tables (M0011 and M0012) as well as Model #’s M005, M0023, M0027 and M0027M require a center to center dimension from one tube to the other as well as the diameter of the tube. If you do not know the center spacing on your pedestal guard, simply use a tape measure or ruler and measure from inside to inside and outside to outside of the tubes and provide us with both numbers. ****Due to the small volume of pedestal guards with 12" to 12.5" center to center dimensions we are unable to accept returns on items in these sizes due to a mistake in measurement.
